Who We Are

"Evansville's rich history, strong work ethic and growing cultural diversity make it an ideal place to learn, live and work as well as an optimal headquarters from which to manage a global business."

Steve Golsby, President, Mead      Johnson Nutritionals

The Institute for Global Enterprise in Indiana is an extension of the Schroeder Family School of Business Administration (SOBA) at the University of Evansville. The Institute opened in December 2003 as part of the Lilly Endowment, Inc. Transformations in Global Learning Opportunities grant and our strategic focus is international business.

The Institute develops and delivers services that improve international business success to three publics: UE Students, UE Faculty, and the Tri-State business community. The latter is defined broadly to include all partners in economic development such as private companies, government, chambers of commerce and community organizations, and educational institutions for all ages.

Student-focused priorities consist of global business experiential learning opportunities (internships and international study tours).

Faculty-focused priorities incorporate Visiting Global Business Fellows and research and development funding.

Executive-focused priorities include our flagship program, the International Speaker Series, in addition to our Executive Education Seminars based on topics of global business.

The University of Evansville is a liberal arts and professional university with a broad international focus and a second campus at Harlaxton Manor Estate in Grantham, England.
