Visiting Global Business Fellows

Visiting Global Business Fellows share from their areas of expertise to enhance the international offerings and competence of the University of Evansville. These Fellows compliment the international expertise of UE faculty and partner with them to develop knowledge, skills, and programs in international business.

Visiting Global Business Fellows can include faculty of any academic rank or doctoral students with dissertations near completion. While specialists in all areas of international business and region are welcome, the Institute is actively developing programs in Asia during the 2005-2007 periods. A completed Ph.D. and expertise in the Asian region is preferred.



Jill Griffin - Institute Fellow, January 2004 - December 2005

Jill Griffin’s primary research interests include behavioral
decision making, consumer search behavior, mass customization, and retail assortment strategies. The studies she is conducting while at UE are about how consumers search for information, make decisions, and evaluate their choices when faced with numerous options from which to choose. Her findings will help companies to tailor their retail assortments and to provide the right type and amount of product information to aid consumer choice and boost satisfaction.

Jill’s research has been presented at conferences of the Society for Consumer Psychology and the Association for Consumer Research. She has served as a reviewer for the European Marketing Academy.

Jill Griffin earned her Ph.D. in Marketing at the University of Texas at Austin. She also holds an MBA and an M.S.E. in Industrial and Operations Engineering from the University of Michigan, an M.A. in Economics from Indiana University, and a B.A. in Mathematics and Russian from Trinity University. Jill has since transitioned from an Institute Fellow to Assistant professor of Marketing in the Schroeder Family School of Business Administration.

 

Dmytro Zhosan - Institute Fellow, August 2005 - May 2006

Dmytro Zhosan completed his Ph.D. Program in Economics
at Indiana University, and now teaches Principles of Macro,
Mathematical Economics and Economics of Transition at Colby College in Waterville, ME.

His primary research interests include Game Theory, Experimental Methods, Industrial Organization, and International Trade. He also has a strong and quite explainable interest in Transitional Economics.

Dmytro received his B.A. and M.A. in Economics from National University of Kiev-Mohyla Academy ( Kyiv, Ukraine) in 1997 and 1999 respectively. In 2001 he received a Master’s degree in Economics from Indiana University.

Dmytro is an award-winning Economics instructor and has been teaching introductory Economics and Statistics classes at Indiana University Bloomington and Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis since 2001.
