Wood Packaging Seminar/Video Conference The Institute for Global Enterprise in Indiana, in partnership with the U.S. Department of Commerce, the Indiana District Export Council, and the Tri-State World Trade Council, hosted a breakfast briefing entitled: "Wood Packaging - ISPM 15: Will Your Products Be Stopped at the Border?" at the University of Evansville on February 22, 2006. Via the use of UE video-conferencing equipment, ten representatives of local companies beamed to the main presentation at the FedEx Center in Indianapolis. Senior officials with the Animal Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) - a division of the U.S. Department of Agriculture, and the American Lumber Standards Committee presented current compliance standards for regulating wood packaging material (WPM) in the international export of commodities. |
