Multicultural Colleagues Invitational Lecture Series The Multicultural Colleagues Invitational Lecture Series 2008 invites requests from UE faculty, administration and staff for funding to support the visit of former classmates, students, mentors or colleagues to the UE campus. The visiting lecturer will present or collaborate on issues that integrate a multicultural theme or consider the broader context of cultural issues. Funding priority will be given to presentations/projects that engage a broader campus audience, i.e., activities that are interdepartmental or intercollegiate in nature, although programs addressing a single department will be considered. Applications are received and considered on a rolling basis.
Dr. Jeffrey Ogbar, Director of the Institue for African American studies at the University of Connecticut, talks with students at his lecture entitled Beyond Stereotypes: Culture, Politics and the Hip-Hop Generation, on February 9,2007.
Funding: The grant award will include basic travel costs of the guest, an honorarium and a hosting allowance to cover local meals, lodging and incidentals. International airfare will be considered for special proposals. Application : Please direct the immediate submission of proposals to the Institute for Global Enterprise in Indiana, 224 Hyde Hall. The Deans’ Council will review the proposals upon receipt and authorize each invitation to the extent of available funds. Please include the following information when submitting proposals:
