Project Tri-State Global Enterprise – ASIA

Recognizing the increasingly global developments of the business world, the Institute for Global Enterprise in Indiana seeks to strengthen the Schroeder Family School of Business Administration to support a strong University focus on international business education. The economic impact of Asian growth in manufacturing is a serious concern of this region and our overall goal is to assist the return of U.S. businesses to a competitive advantage.

The Institute will achieve this objective through Project Tri-State Global Enterprise – ASIA. This project is made possible with our 2005 award of the U.S. Department of Education Business and International Education (BIE) grant.

In collaboration with the Tri-State region’s International Trade Offices, the Institute has designed a collaborative business education and development program to include the following three goals:

Goal 1: Enhance the Asian business knowledge and skills of students at the University              of Evansville and regional K-12 Schools.

Goal 2: Enhance the Asian knowledge, skills and research productivity of
             the business faculty.

Goal 3: Enhance the Asian competitiveness of Tri-State businesses.

Project Tri-State Global Enterprise-Asia initiatives service the Tri-State business community with activities that sharpen their competitive edge in the global market. In addition, the business community will benefit from the greater international training and experience of SOBA students as they embark on professional careers. These initiatives have the strong support of the University of Evansville administration and the Tri-State region’s leadership.

The Project Tri-State Asia team includes Dr. Wes Milner, Dr. Martin Fraering, and
Ms. LaShone Gibson.
